The Pillars of Health

Osteopathy and manual therapies are often super helpful when dealing with musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction but the other pillars of health need to be addresses too. Exercise, nutrition, restorative sleep, stress management, social connectiveness and decreasing the toxins in our lives are an integral part of our overall health and well-being. After nearly 30 years in the manual therapy industry I am now able to confidently say, "you will not feel better until you act better." This means you have to take responsibility for yourself; stand up straight, strengthen deconditioned muscles, provide nutrients to your cells, get outside, meditate, get some sleep and go visit your friends! People will come in to the clinic and say " are you going to fix me?" No! Your body is not my responsibility. I can help you formulate a plan to get you on the road to wellness but it's up to you to execute that plan. Is it easy? No, but it's necessary. Will you fall off the wagon? Probably, but you will get back on, it's ok. Baby steps, one day at a time, one percent better everyday, you'll get there. The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the next best time is now. Start now.
