Promoting, restoring and maintaining health through
Osteopathic Manual Therapy, nutrition
and lifestyle changes.
Osteopathy is an American science, founded by Andrew Taylor Still. It is a manual form of therapy that follows a set of principles that emphasizes the interrelationship between the structure and function of the body.
Osteopathy embraces the philosophy that the body has an innate, natural ability to self-regulate and to heal itself. The key factor that permits this regulation and healing to proceed unimpeded is the focus of the osteopathic application and attention to the nerve, artery, vein and lymphatic structures.
An osteopathic manual practitioner helps the body to repair itself by removing any blockages in motion that stand in the way of healing. Osteopaths do not make use of any equipment or medicine.
During an osteopathy session, the treatment can range from applying subtle to strong pressure, mostly in places other than where the problems are felt. The causes of the symptoms are often (but not always) located in another part of the body than where the symptoms express themselves.

After a treatment with the osteopathic manual practitioner, the body needs time to respond to treatment and tap into its capacity for self-healing.
One of the main goals of an Osteopathic Practitioner is to help the patient find health. And, just like happiness, sometimes you don't find it, you have to create it. Poor diet, inactivity, poor stress management, insufficient sleep, and excessive alcohol consumption are some of the lifestyle choices that drive chronic disease like high blood pressure, diabetes and cancer.
I know it's not easy, but it's necessary. We have to take responsibility for our health and wellness.
If you are considering some lifestyle changes and are overwhelmed with where to start, I'm here to help. As a Wellness Consultant I can help you get your head in the game and guide you to your next steps. Make no mistake, you have to be ready to make change, it starts with our mindset. There is a lot of information out there and I can help you make the lifestyle changes you need in order to create health.

This is not a program. It is a one-time consultation. I will gather your health history information and complete a lifestyle assessment. We will discuss the findings and I will make recommendations which might include being referred to another healthcare professional or practitioner. There is a lot of stuff you can do on your own. You just have to do it. It's all the things: nutrition, movement, quality sleep, social connection, meditation, get out in nature, decrease/eliminate toxic substances like alcohol and nicotine, stretching, the list goes on. We can't do all of the things all of the time but we can do some of the things most of the time.

Hello everyone! It has been thirty years since my manual therapy journey started when I graduated Massage Therapy school in 1993. I decided to continue my education with the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, graduating from the program in 2010. When the world was on pause I started the Holistic Nutrition program in 2020, graduating a completely different person one year later.
My holistic approach now centers on empowering individuals to embrace balanced lifestyles that nurture the body, mind, and spirit. From optimal nutrition to stress reduction, movement, and strong social connections, each facet contributes to a healthier, happier you.
Beyond my professional pursuits, I am a Toastmaster, love all things music from Metallica to Dolly, revel in feline company, and advocate for the participation of preventative healthcare. Thank you for considering me as your partner on the journey to a vibrant and balanced life.
